Katlin is a Senior Art Consultant with Demetriou Art Group based in Toronto. Bringing over 6 years of experience in the auction industry as a Canadian Art Specialist in one of Canada’s leading auction houses, she brings a wealth of market knowledge to her appraisal practice. Having completed her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Ottawa majoring in History and Theory of Art, she earned her Master’s in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London, UK in 2015 where she tailored her studies to the trends and idiosyncrasies of the Canadian art market. Her Master’s Dissertation explored how global megabrands could impact the perception of regional art markets through primary research and analysis of the Canadian auction market. With this in depth exploration, her findings enrich her professional practice with sound art market research and analysis in providing detailed appraisal and market data reports.
Her industry experience includes work with auction houses, commercial galleries, art fairs, and publishing. Katlin specializes in Canadian fine art and provides services relating to appraisals, collection management, art market research and analysis, business consulting and writing projects. Katlin specializes in Canadian Fine Art with extensive experience handling and valuing historical and post-war painting, works on paper and sculpture.
