ISA Designated Credentials

There are three different professional designations within the ISA. Professional advancement and requalification is important to provide the public with appraisers they can trust. Membership is held with ISA Central out of Chicago and then with the ISA Canadian Chapter. Each designation is a guarantee of quality, knowledge and professionalism within the industry.

ISA

Completed the core ISA training in appraisal theory, methodology, ethics, and report-writing standards and has documented three or more years of market-related experience.

Accredited Member
ISA AM*

Official designation of a qualified ISA appraiser with a declared specialty and 700 documented hours of appraisal-related experience.

Certified Member
ISA CAPP*

The highest achievement in ISA credentialing and the appraisal industry, signifying appraising expertise, professional development, and advanced skills.

CAPP members have min. 900 documented hours of appraisal reporting and passed the CAPP examination.

Private Client Services Affiliation*

ISA AM or ISA CAPP members can also belong to the Private Client Services Affiliation. ISA’s Private Client Services are qualified appraisers who have completed specialized training and hold senior level industry experience in dealing with High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI).
